Philippians 2:1-11
In the letter to the Philippians, Paul offers a powerful encouragement to believers enduring severe trials. Paul is writing this letter from prison. The letter is a series of vignettes that find their “CENTER OF GRAVITY” around “The Messiah Poem” Vs. 6-11. The catalyst of Paul’s message was the generosity of the Philippian church – the opposite of self protectionism and comfort seeking. Paul wants Jesus followers to see their story as a lived expression of the Christ story, and a call to participate in the highest form of contributory help, unity and love for one another. Now is our moment. Will we take it?
